Enrico Capo (soprano & alto saxophone)
is the founder of the Atlantic Saxophone Quartet. He earned a BFA Degree in Music Education from Florida Atlantic University and a MAT in Music from Jacksonville University.
He has studied woodwinds (clarinet, flute, and saxophone) with such fine artists as Harry Schimdt (professor Emeritus Florida State University and North Texas State University), Patrick Detrocchio (the Juilliard School), Anthony Allo (Former Chairman and Director of Bands at Indian River Community College), David Snively (Florida Atlantic University), Donna Milanovich (Indiana State University), and Peter Wright (Principal Clarinetist with the Jacksonville Symphony).
Mr. Capo was Director of Bands at Okeechobee High School (1984-1988), Fort Myers High School (1988-1990) and assistant at Vero Beach High School (1991-1992). He has served as adjunct woodwind instructor at Indian River Community College from 1997 to 2003 and is currently District Sales Representative and Music Education Consultant for Music Man Inc. out of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Matt Schabowsky (alto saxophone)
Matt earned his BA Degree in Music Performance from the University of South Florida. He was the 2004 Young Artist Award winner with the Northwest Florida Symphony. He has performed with such artists/groups as Bobby Mcferrin, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Harry James Orchestra, with Disney's Toontown Tuners and many others. He is currently the Director of Bands at St. Lucie West "Centennial" High School.
Michael Herman (Tenor Saxophone)
has been playing saxophone for seven years. He attends Vero Beach High School and participates in the nationally recognized Vero Beach High School Band program
Dalton Rooks (Baritone Saxophone)
has been playing saxophone for five years. He attends Vero Beach High School and participates in the nationally recognized Vero Beach High School Band program.
Alumni Section:
Carolyn Scheel (baritone saxophone)
performed with the ASQ in 2004 and 2005; she attended Martin County High School and plans to attend Florida State University. She played baritone saxophone in the quartet. We wish her well in her future endeavors.
James Kusel (Tenor Saxophone)
performed with the ASQ from 2005 until 2007. He attended Southfork High School and has been accepted into Northwestern University. He plans to major in chemical engineering. It has been a pleasure having James in the quartet and we wish him success in his future career choices.
Kayla Brownell (Baritone Saxophone)
Performed with the ASQ in the 2006-2007 season. She attended Fort Pierce Westwood High School as well as Indian River Community College. She plans to attend the University of Florida and major in entomology. We have enjoyed having her in the quartet and wish her well.
Tim Robison (alto saxophone)
Performed with the ASQ from 2004-2008. He attended Martin County High School, the University of Minnesota, and Indian River State College. He plans to work in his family's interior construction business. It has been an honor to have someone of Tim's skill level in the quartet. We wish him nothing but success in his future career.
